This week TMZ.com posted video of man punching a woman outside of a bar in Austin, Texas. The impact of the blow to the young woman, which came from behind and was never seen by the victim, sent her crashing face down into the pavement.
The man who was seen punching the woman was then confronted and allegedly beaten by MMA fighter Roger Huerta.
While the identity of the man who struck the woman has not officially been released by the Austin Police Department, I’ve learned from multiple sources who threw the punch.Former starting Univ. of Texas Linebacker Rashad Bobino, who last played for the Longhorns in 2008, was the individual who punched the unidentified woman from behind as seen in the TMZ.com video.
Bobino is now out of football after being cut by the Atlanta Falcons before the 2009 NFL season.
Late Thursday, the AUSTIN AMERICAN-STATESMAN reported that Austin Police are aware of the videotape and that no charges or arrests have been made.
Veneza E. Aguinaga, a senior police officer in the Public Information office of the Austin Police Department, told an MMA website Thursday evening that the, “APD had no information on the incident.”
Much of the investigation into this incident will obviously depend on witness accounts and whether the female victim comes forward. With an ex-Longhorn football player involved, the Austin PD will no doubt proceed cautiously in its public pronouncements.

First of all to clear up everything Rashad was defending an off-duty Sheriff (which happens to be in the same fraternity as him) that this girl was hitting with a high heel shoe. This “innocent” girl also lacerated the Sheriff’s eye. As for huerta he only had the balls to chare Rashad when another asailent tried to charge him from the side. 155 lbs or not this guy is a trained figher and should be in jail for this. Two wrongs dont make a right. But who kicks a guy when he is down. Huerta career has been over for years.

Sorry James McDonald but your justification only makes Bobino look worse than he did (if you are telling the truth). The sheriff could have subdued the woman and she was already on her way elsewhere when Bobino ran up and hit her in back of the head. As for Huerta, he stepped right up to Bobino and would not have had to chase him if Bobino had not run. Since when is the guy running considered the brave guy and the guy chasing him the coward? I was there and saw the whole thing. the girl was NOT a tranny. There was many fights going on when another one was about to start when the girl turned toward bobino telling him to stop the altercation that was about to go down with another guy. when bobino swung and knocked her right out. she fell back when she got up blood was dripping down her right eye and she didnt know what was going on. thats when everyone started screaming he hit a girl. roger huerta stepped in yelling all that mess. bobino then swung first at roger and missed then. thats when roger swung.. bobino fell to the ground.
in the end bobino was wrong for what he did.

Anyone can make up anything and post in online, then it will be referenced as “evidence”.
