There is no way this will happen. By 2011, the economy will have already rebounded (look at historical trends and you will see that), and this whole "bailout" concept will be old news. Plus, maybe it's just me, but I would hope Congress has better things to do than worry about changing to a playoff.

If a playoff should ever happen, however, I pray it's a 4- rather than 8- team playoff…8 is too many and devalues the regular season, esp. the last 2 weeks…for this year, take the SEC championship game…under an 8-team format, winning becomes irrelevant because both teams are in the final bracket. So are USC and Penn State, despite losing to unranked teams. Oh, and that 65-21 OU beatdown of TTU…doesn't matter either.

need it now. i hate texas but i guarantee they are twice the team that Florida is this year. THE SEC IS WEAK THIS YEAR! a true playoff would reveal OU/TEXAS for national championship. BIG XII is THE BEST.

Remember, The NCAA doesn't run the BCS and gets ZERO money out of the BCS. Why would the conferences in the BCS want to share their money with the weaker conferences?
