This whole "Baseball Heaven" thing is braggadocious at best. Don't get me wrong, the Cardinals are my team, but I've traveled many baseball cities and attended games and find great fans in Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Chicago, and even Boston and New York (though they're over-the-top rude to visiting fans). We're good fans in St. Louis, but we have no claim to being the best by any stretch of the imagination. And yes, the ownership here goes out of it's way to quash any negative press - it's tough when you know that the truth is your like everybody else and must protect/project and image of greatness.
