Having said that, it's a close run thing - did they get back past the defender before the ball was struck? Does anyone have a camera angle level with the wall?

Man U-SA: yes it is off-sides. My first clue was from reading the article, which describes it as 'passive offside': they don't touch the ball. The ref decided to let it go.

I could handle "Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds In Paradise", But 3, 4 & 5 were totally unnecessary. Once Ogre joined the Tri-Lambs, there wasn't much more reason to expand on the series.
