AFTER CUBAN ESCAPE, CUBS NOW FACE DOWN THE DONALD At a speech in the Chicago area yesterday, Donald Trump opened his remarks by asking the audience if he should buy the Cuban-escapee Chicago Cubs.

The CHICAGO SUN-TIMES reports “Trump (next) told the audience he was going to look into buying the Cubs.” Another internet outlet reports “Trump exclaimed, ‘Maybe I should buy them!’”

That last comment was coincidentally overheard when Trump saw the most recent field at his Miss America pageant.

No doubt part of Trump’s motivation in claiming he wants to buy the Cubs is that MLB has already thrown Mark Cuban’s futile attempt to acquire the franchise down the stairs.
