LINK BETWEEN MURDER, VICK’S DOGFIGHTING OPERATION? There may be more fun in store for federal prosecutors on the Michael Vick case as the WASHINGTON POST today reports “Authorities in Catawba County, N.C., say they have found a possible link between a dog breeder found shot to death in his home in April and the ‘Bad Newz Kennels’ operated by suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick.”

Roy Thomas Melton was shot and killed at his home in April. Police found 33 pit bulls on his property and “The names of some dogs listed in paperwork found at Melton’s home matched the names of some dogs uncovered by federal authorities in their investigation of the Bad Newz Kennels.”

Authorities are still working on the case and are unsure of the exact connection between Vick’s dogfighting operation and the murdered dog breeder, but the possiblity of interviewing Vick and his associates about the murder remains.
