From the desolate, lawless land of Las Vegas comes the tale of Stefany Miley, shown below, who got into a bit of a fight with another woman recently (allegedly). It probably wouldn’t surprise you to learn that both combatants are soccer moms. But how about this — Miley is a judge.
Yeah, Stefany Miley is a 38 year-old district court judge in Clark County, Nevada, and was previously a family court judge. She was allegedly “involved in an altercation at a soccer field“, where she is rumored to have assaulted a soccer mom. A police report was filed alleging assault and battery.
At least that’s according to a Las Vegas Metro Police Twitter account, probably not the most ironclad of sources. But Las Vegas Eyewitness news Channel 8 is also reporting it, so it’s pretty much confirmed.
Bill Cassell from @LVMPD confirmed Judge Miley’s name was in a report about an altercation at a soccer game…no details, no charges yet. (KLAS investigative journalist Twitter account and George Knapp Twitter account).
The LVMPD account seems to have vanished, by the way.
From Judge Miley’s election web site:
Judge Miley is a member of the State Bar of Nevada, and the Clark County Bar Association. Additionally, Judge Miley has also been involved with numerous local charities including Junior League of Las Vegas. Through the Junior League, Judge Miley helped to raise money for numerous charities including HELP! of Southern Nevada, Channel 10’s “Ready To Learn” and the Ronald McDonald House. Judge Miley also assisted in authoring and passing the Safe Haven for Babies Legislation which gives parents a safe, additional option for unwanted children. Judge Miley has also been involved with the Jean Nidetch Women’s Center and UMC Children’s Miracle Network. As a mother of school aged twins, Judge Miley is also invloved in numerous programs through the Clark County Schools and local sports organizations.
A mom with twins fights twice as hard! Go Judge Miley! (I hope this isn’t the judge that Antoine Walker ends up with).
Thanks, UNPROFESSIONAL FOUL.
