this is ridiculous to scream discrimination. i feel blacks need to spend more time being positive than wasting lots of time and energy on "who's being racist." is it time yet for whites to start screaming discrimination yet?

This is about the most ridiculous thing I have read in who knows how long. There are definate racial issues in sports that need to be addressed and this is not one of them. This is the type of thing that sets things back again.

I am getting sick of all of this because sports is about money and wins nothing else. If the best players/coaches are minorities you can bet the farm that they are going to hire and play those guys. If you do not win then your job is not safe as an administrator or as a coach.

People just don't get it.

Andy, I really thought the same exact thing while I was reading this, "This seems like an Onion story."

Even the quotes seem completely ridiculous, exactly how they sound in an article by the Onion.

But really, this affirmative-action, black power kinda stuff is really bothering me. The Rams coach can't be guaranteed his job for next year because a black guy needs to be interviewed, why? It's not like Mike Tomlin's Steelers are in first place in the AFC, it's not like Tony Dungy's Colts played Lovie Smith's Bears in the Super Bowl two years ago. It's not like Herm Edwards somehow magically still has a job coaching in the NFL.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against black people, I mean, I love Charles Barkley and Chad Johnson, but shit like this has to end. Scott Linehan deserves some job security and the 8 kids who got cut just weren't good enough.

This seems like an Onion story.

It really seems absurd, he just picked the players he wanted. That said, there is racism inside the African-American community, though it can be more subtle.
