For the price of the Yankee tickets you could get an airline ticket and fly to an away game in another city.

All-Star Game tickets in St. Louis this year start at $100 and top out at $360. For the All-Star Game.

I guess if you build a 1.5 billion dollar stadium you expect that fans will pay extra to come see it. They might, for a while. But the recession has hit everywhere, and in New York also it sounds like.

Used to go to several yanks and mets games a summer. This year Im planning on goin to both new stadiums once. After that i may not be back for a long time. On top of the ridiculous ticket prices are the insane tolls and parking fees ( if you drive to yankee stadium your just insane , take the subway)…Food forget it… $15 just for a beer and a hotdog. Ill go just to see the new parks, but after that my hdtv and couch will do just fine.

It will be interesting to see if the games get blacked out on TV. I still think people will not go after this year. This year will be a sellout, just on novelty value. However, good luck in the years ahead selling these tickets…

Go see a Rays game. Plenty seats available.
