MOB LAWYER TURNED VEGAS MAYOR GOODMAN TO MAKE OFFER NBA COMMISH STERN CAN’T REFUSE: The LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL reports that NBA owners have apparently broken down David Stern’s resistance about having a franchise in Vegas.

Norm Clarke reports that “NBA Commissioner David Stern told a civic gathering today that he’s informed Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman to make a proposal. Stern added that he will take the Las Vegas offer to the owners.

“Stern and Goodman met for 90 minutes earlier today and Goodman said he plans to get a proposal prepared very soon so the owners can respond at the spring meeting April 23.”
