NOTED SPORTS AUTHOR HALBERSTAM DIES IN CAR CRASH: Sad day for book lovers, as the ASSOCIATED PRESS reports author David Halberstam was killed in a car crash today.

Halberstam authored 21 books, including several sports offerings which included chronicling the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry, Jordan’s Chicago Bulls and Belichick’s Patriots.
