ESPN NFL analyst Darren Woodson, who won three Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys beginning in 1993, guested this morning on ESPN Radio’s Mike and Mike in the Morning.
Woodson was asked by Mike Greenberg about the experience advantage the Buffalo Bills had over the Dallas Cowboys in the 1993 Super Bowl.
“As much as everyone talked about how much experience the Bills had back then, they partied harder than any other team. That’s all we heard about the entire week in L.A., the (Cowboys) first Super Bowl.
“They (Bills players) were out Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Couple guys got into altercations in the clubs, older, veteran guys with the Bills.
“Experience doesn’t mean that much, it’s all about leadership. There’s a reason they (Bills) lost four Super Bowls. They partied harder than any other team.”
Wow, I’m sure that’ll brighten the day of Marv Levy, Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, etc. Safe to say sports radio producers in Buffalo can put their feet up for today’s show.
Here’s hoping we hear a lot more of Woodson the next couple weeks.

Jim Kelly was the biggest hound of them all.

Kelso used to drink beer out of that helmet cover.

If you party the week/2 weeks before the Super Bowl, you’re an idiot and your dedication and commitment have to be questioned. Go Cowboys! Guarantee you Peyton ain’t partying.

So the Playmaker. Erik Williams, and Nate Newton were at Bible Study that week while the Bills partied? I do recall the Raiders in Super Bowl XV would be coming in from partying in New Orleans, when the Eagles would be headed out to practice.

Uh yeah, its a game, why take it so seriously?

I guarantee Peyton ain’t partying because he’s a tool.

I’m sure the Cowboys did their share of partying, but they obviously knew when to call it quits and prepare. The Raiders could obviously handle their partying better than anyone. Didn’t Daryl Talley get knocked unconcious in a barroom brawl when he was trying to hit on some dudes lady?

That’s right, B-Knice…Talley got punched out by one or several of Magic’s bodyguards.

Say what you want about the players during Super Bowl week, but I know for a fact The Boot Leggers Son ( Barry S) and former head coach of the Boys was out in full force in Scottsdale, Az when the Cowboys played Pittsburgh. That man partied like a rock star and loved the bugger candy! Fact

This has even happened at the high school level back in the day, or maybe tomorrow! People follow cycles and young men reek of delusions of invinsibility so multiply compensation and opportunity by millions then throw in opportunists golddiggers and the good times will roll for some of them almost all the time. CONGRESS isn’t much different and isn’t football just the national political diversion to syphon off a margin of hotheads and divert them from the reality of the lousy shape the rest of the world’s in??!!!

artdollens - WTF!!!!!!!!!! I think you were looking for the Rush Limbaugh blog.

I don’t think Woodson is telling the truth. Is it even possible to party harder than the 90s Cowboys? Have you read “Boys Will Be Boys”?

Good going Darren Woodson. Almost 2 decades after the events took place, you’re now running your mouth about something anyone with a pulse already knew. Meanwhile, everyone gets an opportunity to relieve what a bunch of criminal douchebags the Cowboys of the early 90’s were. Smooth move, man.

Let me say this, I am a die hard Bills fans growing up in the area. I was in Tampa with some friends and struck up a conversation with a bartender in 1998. He told me Jim Kelly was out after 2am that night and could barely walk. I never heard anything about the other Superbowls, but the one in Tampa in 1991 sounds legit.

LOL Awww Soul on Ice must be a Bills fan. Get a little hurt there buddy? Dallas owns any team, anytime. Especially those 1990’s Buffalo Bills.
Hahahaha
