How many interviews have you read that had Mark Cuban working out on the Stairmaster during the interview? It seems like it’s every other one. Cuban has probably shed a metric ton of body fat during his visits with the media over the years. And the light-headedness incurred by his sharply increased heart rate no doubt explains some of his gas-o-rific comments over the years.

Gary Washburn of the SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER is privileged to get this recent quote from a puffing Cuban about the Hornets flagging attendance despite having the second-best record in the NBA’s Western Conference: “Somebody’s got to get off their ass and sell tickets. They’ve got the best record in the Western Conference and they can’t get people to come?”

This is far from the first time “ass” has been included in a sentence associated with Hornets Owner George Shinn. If you’re familiar with his Charlotte days, you know what I’m talking about.
