CONDI CAN’T QUIT 57-YEAR-OLD NFLER GENE WASHINGTON: The WASHINGTON POST has the 134-person “guest list for Monday night’s state dinner in honor of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, as released by the White House.“:

Notables: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Gene A. Washington, director of football operations, National Football League (guest). Elisabeth Hasselbeck, host of “The View,” and Timothy Hasselbeck (wot, no Rosie?).

Robin Roberts, ABC (flying solo, eh?). Arnold Palmer and Kathleen Palmer. Calvin Borel, jockey, winner of the 2007 Kentucky Derby, and Lisa Funk (guest). And Peyton Manning and Ashley Manning.

Most interesting to me is the coupling of Rice and Washington, a former NFL player and current Director of Operations for the league.

Rice, who has talked in the past about becoming NFL commissioner, has been escorted to numerous State events by Washington over the year. The 57-year-old Washington is divorced and the 52-year-old Rice is single (and her sexual orientation has long been mulled over by the public).

Though Washington has previously denied that the two are dating, I have no doubt that Condi is a hot-blooded hetero. All I need to know is that Washington once starred in the feature film “Black Gunn”.
