What about winning at least one basketball game in the NCAA tournament for the last four years and constantly getting to the postseason in baseball and softball? Oh yeah, and beating this hack's longhorn team in football two out of the last three years. Looks like the Big 12 is just too tough. Maybe they are in for a down year or two in football, but Mike Sherman is recruiting lights out and in a couple of more years will be back at the top of the league again. Alumni and students have tried for years to bring back this bizarre "tradition". Justice has a good point - Baylor and A&M need to find a conference where both teams can be successful and not just doormats.
