Clemson Fans Spurn Owls Charlotte Snoozefest

ALL DIRT ROADS LEAD TO CLEMPSON, NOT CHARLOTTE: The CHARLOTTE OBSERVER reports fewer than 30,000 tickets have been sold to tonight’s Temple-Clemson football game at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

Raycom Sports is promoting the game, and Raycom President Ken Haines is apparently the only breathing human who thought the game would do well at the gate. The C-O reports Haines “hoped to sell as many as 50,000 tickets” due to interest from Clemson fans.
