Claudia Porras is a model basketball player - in more ways than one.

The EL PASO TIMES has the story on Porras, UTEP senior and member of the Bolivian women’s national team. Although she’s been a solid bench player for the 19th-ranked Miners, it’s Claudia’s previous off-court endeavors that’s gotten attention.

Before she hit the hardwood, Claudia showed off her hardbody, as she posed for some modeling pics while still in her native Bolivia.

But Porras is not just a pretty face. UTEP coach Keitha Adams speaks very highly of her Bolivian bench star: “She has a great attitude, a great work ethic. She’s a good student; she’s a real joy to have in the program.”

And the feeling’s mutual with Claudia and her collegiate surroundings: “Coming here was one of the best decisions in my life. I’m so happy to be here. I feel at home.”

And we’re all happy for you, Claudia. Good luck with the rest of your season, and we hope to see you in the WNBA next year! (It’s the only reason we’d watch.)
