RadarOnline.com alleged today that on Saturday, “the Florida Department of Children and Families, escorted by police, visited Tiger Woods’ home. … The visit stems from the events leading up to Tiger’s bizarre one-car crash right after Thanksgiving.”
A marked police car escorted an unmarked car to Tiger’s house around midday Saturday. Typically investigators from DCF would want to evaluate the safety of a home for children after a domestic violence incident.
Woods and wife Elin Nordegren have a two-year-old daughter Sam and 10-month-old son Charlie.
Noted in Radar’s claim, “Officials were at the home for roughly an hour”
The site also reports there is no confirmation that Tiger Woods was present for the DCF visit.
On Nov. 27, TMZ.com reported that “one Florida law enforcement official” said the events leading up to Woods’ car accident was “a domestic issue.”
The Florida Highway Patrol did not investigate the Woods car crash as being precipitated by a domestic disturbance, so perhaps the DCF visit is unrelated to the car accident. But Radar specifically notes in its claim that the visit was in reference to the night of the crash.
If Radar’s report is accurate, it certainly adds another layer of intrigue to the story.
