Cincinnati quarterback Jordan Palmer, who backs up his brother Carson on the Bengals, made the L.A. radio rounds Tuesday to promote an iPhone app he helped develop call RunPee. After doing about 15 minutes on the biz bit with the Mason & Ireland Show on 710 ESPN, Palmer asked the hosts what they thought of the USC-Ohio State game.
(The Palmers: Redefining bad judgement each and every early September)
Seconds later, it became apparent Palmer wasn’t so concerned with what the hosts had to say. Instead, he was looking for a platform to make like his brother Carson a year ago. Here’s what the former USC QB and Heisman winner said on L.A radio in 2008:
I cannot stand the Buckeyes. Having to live in Ohio and hear those people talk about their team, it drives me absolutely nuts.
And now for some of Jordan’s comments, which were strikingly similar to his brother’s.
Our Trojans are going to wreak some havoc this week. Ohio State fans are the most annoying people on the planet. It’s unbelievable. … They wear their stuff year-end, because there’s nothing else going on here.
They blamed it on the quarterback situation last year. (Now) They’ve got everything they need, I’m ready to see SC whip up on them when they’re healthy and full speed. (audio)
“Our” Trojans? Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t Jordan strap on a jock for UTEP?
Dude is hanging by a thread in Cincinnati with the Bengals and blows up OSU exactly one year after his brother did the same - and took a subsequent torrent of criticism locally.
Sounds like Jordan might be a wee too optimistic about the financial prospects of RunPee.

I’ve got to admit, RunPee isn’t too bad an idea.

“They wear their stuff year-end, because there’s nothing else going on here.” Yeah, true- it’s not like any of the pro football teams in the state are worth a damn. Oh, that’s right, you’re on one of those suck teams. Here’s a tip- have a winning season, and maybe the fans will show you some love. Now shut up, realize you’re making nice coin because your brother is good, and cherish your good fortune, idiot.

I’ve been a loyal Bengals fan for many years, through the good times and, most recently, the horribly embarrassing ones.I stood by them when others laughed at me,which happened frequently. After listening to this broadcast I’m now a Brown’s fan & when Cincy plays the Steelers I’ll be a rabid Steelers fan. It’s rude and stupid to insult folks who write your paycheck.I won’t spend a cent on Bengals tickets or merchandise until the “Palmer Brothers” are gone from Ohio. (How much is that Number 10 Quinn jersey?)Maybe Carson & Jordan have to trash talk to make themselves look tough, too bad it doesn’t work. It must be easy to stand on the sidelines & earn a huge paycheck from obnoxious “Buckeyes”. How much playing time did the two of them have together last year?Oh, I know,Carson was hurt last year,&the one before & possibly this year, too?Maybe OSU players prefer to play for winning NFL teams.Isn’t a losing season the qb’s fault? Why don’t they just go back to California? As for the ESPN talk show hosts, doesn’t it seem ironic that they trash OSU’s record with the Bengal’s back-up QB(didn’t Tulsa,Memphis, Marshall & Houston beat UTEP in2006-and what bowl game did UTEP win that year?)? It might make sense if it were the Colt’s or Steeler’s qbs,but the BENGALS? How credible is that source? I hope the network cancels their contract and they’re looking for work soon.Maybe a farmer in the midwest will hire them to shovel manure from their bulls, not much different from what they do now…
