Chesney: “I would love to do Super Bowl halftime”

Earlier today I wrote that Kenny Chesney was in Miami last week “lobbying” to play Super Bowl halftime at the 2011 game at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.

Kenny Chesney said he'd like to do Super Halftime Show

(Chesney got an assist on the subject from friend Mike Greenberg)

Friday morning Chesney guested on Mike & Mike In The Morning on ESPN Radio and couldn’t have made his desire more plain.

Chesney was asked by Mike Greenberg if he was interested in performing during Super Bowl halftime: “I would love to do halftime at the Super Bowl. That’d be fun. If I do Super Bowl halftime next year, it’s all because of Greeny (Greenberg). Because he brought it up and Mike (show co-host Golic).” (audio)

Chesney later joked that if he did the Super Bowl halftime show in Dallas, he’d want Golic and Greenberg on stage with him. At least I hope he was joking.

Greenburg is apparently good friends with Chesney, so it probably wasn’t a coincidence that the subject came up. At the very least, we now know that Chesney is enthusiastic about the prospect, just as my source reported to me.

I didn’t watch Mikey & Mikey but let me guess. Both of these assclowns gushed over and over about how Kenny Chesney is a ‘great, outstanding talent’…and how much they just love his music….

Cowboys Stadium in ARLINGTON! Dallas taxpayers refused to pay to built it.

You wouldn’t happen to have Charles Coplin’s e-mail would you. I know 2 bizillion parrothead who would e-mail him and request Jimmy Buffett if we knew the address.

When his new album comes out, the NFL will be begging him to do the halftime show. I know a secret and all of you will have to wait until the album breaks and then you will remember this comment.
