Charlie Villanueva has himself a hot new girlfriend named Jennifer Christenson.
Though Christenson lives in Chicago and Villanueva has spent much of his summer in Detroit, the couple was seen together three weeks ago at a basketball tournament in the Dominican Republic.
Christenson has some photos of Villanueva on her public Facebook account, but she cropped the NBA player out a photo of the couple for her profile picture:
Villaneuva’s lovely lady friend is also an aspiring talk show host, recently posting an audition tape on Oprah Winfrey’s official website. Villanueva Tweeted a public link to the site and asked his followers in support of Christenson’s career efforts.
From the photos, they seem like a happy couple and Villanueva, at least until recently, has always been known as gentleman off the court. Though the Ontario and Wisconsin court systems may dictate Villanueva’s off-court reputation in the future.

Detroit Pistons forward Charlie Villanueva faces a charge of domestic assault after a May 19 incident in Burlington, Ontario.
The 25-year-old Villanueva was released by Halton Regional Police on a promise to appear in court on July 9. The name of complainant and other details about the incident weren’t available Tuesday.
Because of Villanueva’s appearance in the tournament in the Dominican Republic, the court date has been delayed until August 6.
The day after that news out of Ontario, Chris Iott of the ANN ARBOR NEWS reported that Villanueva was facing another, separate court date over an assault accusation in Wisconsin:
Villanueva has a pre-trial conference scheduled for Nov. 5 in the Milwaukee County Courthouse in Wisconsin in regards to a separate assault complaint.
Daniel Fischer of Menomonee Falls, Wis., filed a civil lawsuit against Villanueva on Jan. 20 accusing Villanueva of assault, according to records on file on the Wisconsin Court System Web site.
For all we know Villanueva is completely innocent on both counts, but if you’re the NBA player’s girlfriend, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think that at the very least those court appearances might raise an eyebrow.

I think the two assault charges Charlie face are a classic case of them claiming a charging foul on Charlie, and Charlie claiming a blocking foul on them.

Brooks, do you think that it is a contractual requirement for players to list the teams they play for in order for the team to know their actions? Or, do you think it a matter of retaining team/union counsel?

Dominican is a nationality not a race. You can be of any nationality and be black, white or any combination in between.

So what if you are black dating a white chick or a white man dating a black girl, so what? You’re not the one who is dating them, she dated him and he dated her because they wanted it not was forced or something. Racism is dead, grow up and move on.
