If you’ve been looking for another reason to hate Celine Dion, I have good news.
The Canadian pop star, in her infinite wisdom, has vocally supported the Beijing Olympics and is “definitely against boycotting” the Games.
From XINHUA NEWS:
“When you talk about the Olympics, you don’t say politics,” she said at a press conference. “We talk about power. We talk about love. And we talk about dreams.”
The Quebec native sang the theme song for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, the “Power of the Dream”.
Dion called on all people to “keep the dream possible for our young kids”.
She came to Beijing to express support for the Games after her concert in Shanghai on Friday.
Uh, Celine? All the talk about these Games has been about politics. That’s what happens when the Olympics are awarded to a militant, communist nation that sponsors genocide abroad. “Think of the children” doesn’t really cut it here.
Without getting on my soapbox, I’ll just add that

She should stick to being the “greatest singer in the world”. When she opens her mouth and talks, Celine just embarrasses herself and her country. No wonder Canada doesn’t want her back!
