WEIS RINGS UP RECRUITS AT ND: CBS’ “60 Minutes” profiled Notre Dame football coach Charlie Weis last night.

During a sitdown with Steve Kroft, Weis revealed one of his recruiting techniques: “When (the recruits) sit there and tell me that they want to play on Sundays, I’ll act confused and I’ll say, ‘So you want to play on Sunday.’ (At the same time, Weis is rubbing his eyes and flashing one of his large Super Bowl rings). … (The ring) definitely gets prospects attention.“
