Catholics Cross About Anchor’s ‘F— Jesus’ Rant

ESPN anchor Dana Jacobson says she’s sorry for her alcohol-fueled rant at the Mike & Mike Celebrity Roast. But a Catholic group is still cross about the comments.

Dana Jacobson Belvedere Vodka

AWFUL ANNOUNCING blesses us with news that the future Belvedere Vodka spokeswoman emailed an apology after being pressured by theCatholic League. During her brief time on the M&M podium, the inebriated Jacobson went on a tirade, yelling “F— Notre Dame” and “F— Touchdown Jesus“, before closing with, “F— Jesus!

Dana’s follow-up statement said, “My remarks about Notre Dame were foolish and insensitive. I respect all religions and did not mean anything derogatory by my poorly chosen words.”

But apparently her apology isn’t good enough.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue said Jacobson’s response “fails on several accounts“. And the group accuses the Worldwide Leader of not taking the whole matter of dissing the Divine One seriously.

Well, what do they expect? It’s a roast, not a rosary recital.

Charlie Weis

Although Charlie Weis did do his best to keep the event positive - and completely boring.
