Earlier today I posted video of Jerrell Jackson’s incredible one-hand snatch against Colorado. Just a few minutes later, Riley Cooper also made an improbably single-handed grab for a touchdown against Georgia.

There’s no doubt that Jackson made the better catch. The angle that he caught the ball was such that there’s very few guys out there with the hand strength to make that grab.
That’s not to discount Cooper’s catch, but the point is, there’s a lot more guys who could’ve converted Cooper’s completion compared to what Jackson’s, which was something out of Cirque de Soleil. Jackson’s played looked like it was out of one of those some recent NFL commercials that were faked via special effects.

little overblown, though ridiculous, for a 5 yard gain compared to a 30 yard TD with a defender in the way and getting 1 foot down

Saw a few weeks ago, when Wantaugh HS came to visit GCH, this slight little kid, who was being double-covered, jump into a full-body extension, diving, and making a stunning one handed great catch…..the play was called back because of a Line Infraction, like maybe “Holding”", but my jaws were dropping through the stands at this kid’s effort, quickness, and Talent….Don’t know this kid’s name, maybe he was wearing #84,85, or #86….
Any of you College Recruiiters out there, you need to hunt this kid down, and get some of any film of him available. There’s Talent in this kid every bit as good as the two NCAA Videos posted….
Wantaugh HS is on Long Island, in New York…….
Don’t let this one get by you cause he’s got the potential to be a GameBreaker like “The Rocket” was for Notre Dame…..

Of course all of the SEC fans are going to say Cooper had the better catch.. HELLO - They are talking about the CATCH here. Not how many yards it was. Not whether it was a touchdown or not.. Seriously, Jackson clearly has the better CATCH here. A BULLET thrown to a guy behind him that perfectly fit into his hand as he stretched for it is much better than a catch that hits a guy “non-Bullet pass” in the hand and then luckily rolls into his arm pocket. Compare the two catch’s.. Not which catch was more benfecial..
