Carmelo Anthony Snubbed in All-Star Voting

For once, it seems that fans and coaches are holding players responsible for bad behavior when it comes to voting for the All-Star game.

Having served a 15 game suspension for fighting earlier in the season, Carmelo Anthony was worried that the negative impact would prevent him from starting at the game Michael Wilbon refers to as “Black Thanksgiving.”

But in an interesting twist, David Stern may be the kind hand that rescues Anthony from a fan/coach-imposed punishment. With Yao Ming and Carlos Boozer coming up lame, Stern may choose the Western Conference leading scorer as a replacement.

Somewhere Ron Artest is watching this situation unfold and scribbling phat rhymes into a notebook.
