A new service called TicketReserve.com allows fans the opportunity to buy and sell rights to championship college and pro football games, in the hopes that their favorite teams actually make it to the Super Bowl or Fiesta Bowl or what have you.
For example, upper deck tickets to the NFC championship game at Giants Stadium can be had for as little as $47, but that’s contingent on the G-Men actually hosting the game, instead of the favored Bears.
If that scenario works out, you stand to hold tickets worth hundreds of dollars more apiece than you paid. If not, the seller keeps your cash without having to deliver anything. Not unlike what Kansas City Royals ownership does to its fan base every year.
