We just experienced a 5.8 earthquake here in Los Angeles. The tremor lasted about a minute where I’m at - on the westside.
(Hope no one was applying lipstick on the way to Vegas)
I’m eighth story in my Venice apartment building (which was swaying significantly) and am happy to report that my commemorative Memphis Grizzlies inaugural season china set remains intact.
From Fark.com: “The Dodger bullpen is apparently not the only shaky thing in LA.“

For context, the devastating Northridge quake back in 1994 was a 6.7.
This quake was centered in BFE well east of Los Angeles. No word yet on the condition of the meth labs in Chino Hills.
UPDATE: The quake has now been reclassified as a 5.4, which is akin to an official scorer giving Marlins’ metallurgist-gloved Jorge Cantu one less error.
