Word came from co-analyst Ray Ferraro via a Vancouver radio station that Hull’s first season with the Peacock will also likely be his last. Reasons for his dismissal may include his awkward interactions with studio host Bill Clement, his one-sided analysis during the Detroit-Anaheim series, and worst of all, trying to out-Cherry hockey stalwart Don Cherry.

How would Brett put his probable punting from NBC into words? Probably the same as when he was asked about a possible trade away from his then-team, the St. Louis Blues:

“I’ll be sad to go, and I wouldn’t be sad to go. It wouldn’t upset me to leave St. Louis, but it would upset me to leave St. Louis. It’s hard to explain. You’ll find out one of these days, but maybe you never will.“
