The former wife of Shaquille O’Neal, Shaunie O’Neal, appeared last Friday on the syndicated morning radio show Big Boy’s Neighborhood.
During the appearance O’Neal, who created the VH-1 reality show Basketball Wives, revealed the only NBA player who she claimed she knew wasn’t cheating on his wife.
“Someone asked me recently if I knew any basketball player who is faithful. … I think that I do know one that is faithful. Personally.
“If someone made me bet on who is faithful (in the NBA) I’d say Grant Hill.”
When asked if she knew of any other player who was faithful to his wife or partner, O’Neal said:
“I wouldn’t bet (on it). No.”
Shaq wasn’t faithful? Good lawd, wait ’til Hoopz finds out!
Hill has been married to R&B singer Tamia since 1999. They have two kids together.
While I’m sure O’Neal had only the best intentions in outing Grant Hill’s devotion to his wife, I’m not so sure that statement didn’t just put a big bullseye on his relationship.
It’s absurd to think O’Neal knows the bedroom habits of the majority of NBA players, but as she’s made a career of trafficking on NBA player infidelity with her reality show, if anyone understands the macro trend of infidelity in The League, it’s her.
So why, do you think, so many NBA players cheat?
