Probably the worst-kept secret in the sports media biz is that Brent Musberger is a gambling fiend.

Now, WE aren’t accusing him of anything, that’s just what we’ve heard batted around TV trucks and media buffet lines over the years.

So for that reason, we got a fist-pump out of a throwaway note about Mr. Musberger from Norm Clarke’s “Sightings” in Sunday’s LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL.

ABC and ESPN broadcaster Brent Musburger, watching several March Madness games from the sports book at Red Rock Resort on Friday and Saturday.

We actually love Musberger, because he makes the games he calls so interesting - regardless of the score. All we care about when watching his games is the drinking game that goes along with it, and guessing (from his tone) which team he wagered on that day.
