In just over 24 months Tom Brady’s topical solution for damage controlling his follicular fallout has transplanted public discourse from his premature baldness saga to comparing his coiffure to a moptop teen idol.
Now that, boys and girls, is public relations.
With the precipitous loss of the NFL quarterback’s locks indisputably obvious as early as 2002, Brady - at the very least - reportedly may have sought treatment for his rapidly receding hairline at AMD Labs in Manhattan in 2008. From the NEW YORK POST’s Page Six:
“ Just this afternoon, the NFL MVP was seen heading into a building on Seventh Avenue NYC with several medical offices. PageSix.com first called the podiatrist (for his suspect right foot), but the receptionist there said, “No, he wasn’t here.”
PageSix.com then called the chiropractic practice, but the receptionist there said, “No, he didn’t come in.”
Finally, PageSix.com phoned AMD Lab USA, a trichologist (that’s hair restoration specialist, as in, for someone who is losing theirs), and was told, very pointedly, ‘No comment.’ “
You don’t need to be a trichologist to observe that Brady has had some manner of treatment for hair loss. To his credit, the end result has no doubt been found to be appealing to the public - and Bieber.
Most interesting about this conversation is had Brady just let his hair take its natural course, there’d be infinitely less discussion about his lacking lettuce than there has been otherwise.
But would a slick-bald Brady have still ensnared Ms. Bundchen?
