The BOSTON GLOBE, via the BOSTONIST, reports the fracas took place at The Greatest Bar in Boston (not an opinion, that’s just what the place is called).
The bar’s owner, who also happens to be a state cop, asked the customer and his group to move in order to make room for the BC football crew. He refused, and as a result, the man enjoyed a trip to the hospital with spinal injuries.

Accounts differ on what exactly happened. The patron said he was immediately attacked, while the players and owner say they were sucker-punched first.

This isn’t the first time that trouble’s been brewing at The Greatest Bar. Last year, the bar’s license was suspended for 2 weeks when an employee assaulted a customer, while more suspensions happened in 2005 for similar reasons.
ACC foe Miami better watch out for the Eagles - not for football, but for breaking their jail time records.
