BOBBY KNIGHT CORDIALLY INVITES YOU TO TT PRACTICE: Toss over a chair and get your game face on, ’cause it’s time for another session of Knight School!

KCBD-TV in Lubbock whips up news that coach Bobby and the Texas Tech basketball squad are opening their doors to the public, as the team gets in their first practice of the new season on Friday.

Even though it’s just warm-ups, season-ticket and PSL holders are promised the prime seats at United Spirit Arena for the event. But those lucky few may want to bring some towels, as the first few rows may get wet from flying saliva.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with festivities starting 40 minutes later. But before the boys hit the floor, it’s ladies first, as women’s coach Kristy Curry will spice up the proceedings with an opening talk, followed by the introduction of the Lady Raiders b-ball team.

If we’re lucky, the swim team will stop by, too.

Free parking is available at the arena’s lot, with additional spots on Indiana Avenue. But watch how you drive, as that street has a zero-tolerance policy for troublemakers.
