Bobby Bowden and Mike Gundy Each Given 1-Year Contract Extensions

ESPN reports that Bobby Bowden has signed a 1-year extension to remain at Florida State for 2008.Saint Bobby’s contract was set to expire in January, but the new deal is rumored to supply the Seminole senior with $2.5 million in game-day checks - a just reward for 7-5 seasons and yearly triumphs in the Emerald Bowl.

Meanwhile, SPORTING NEWS reports that Oklahoma State has also given their coach a 1-year extension, keeping Mike Gundy in Stillwater through 2013.

Gundy finished his 3rd season with a 6-6 record, but with a chance to go bowling for the 2nd straight year. The same can’t be said for Nebraska, who Gundy & crew obliterated 45-14 earlier this year - OSU’s first win in Lincoln since 1960.But the real reason why the Cowboys want to keep Gundy?
