Bad Weekend For Number 2’s & L.A. Basketball

#2 PLAYS LIKE NUMBER TWO AGAIN, ON FIELD & ON COURT: Once again, #2 performed like number two. And it wasn’t just limited to the football field.

Pittsburgh West Virginia UCLA Texas

First, West Virginia blew their BCS Championship chance with a 13-9 collapse against Pittsburgh on Saturday night - a game that ESPN analyst & Mountaineer fan Mike Patrick called on-air “the biggest disappointment in West Virginia football history.”Then on Sunday, 2nd-ranked UCLA couldn’t keep a late lead over Texas, as they lost to the Longhorns 63-61, snapping the Bruins’ 25-game hardwood home winning streak.

Kansas USC Lakers Magic

On the other hand, it wasn’t a good day to be an LA college b-ball team. USC also snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with a 59-55 home loss to Kansas. In fact, it wasn’t a good day for LA basketball at all, as the Lakers also went down on Sunday, losing 104-97 to the Orlando Magic at Staples Center.

Everyone must have been worn out from all the excitement of Saturday’s clash at the Coliseum.

Or downed one too many of these the night before.
