BACK TO YOU, AL: The LOS ANGELES TIMES reports KCBS in L.A. has hired Eric Dickerson to serve as a commentator on its "Sports Central" Sunday show that precedes "The NFL Today" and follows CBS’ game coverage.

Dickerson will co-host with KCBS anchors Jim Hill and Steve Hartman.

Hill "is said to have convinced station management that Dickerson’s role in a less-restrictive format on ‘Sports Central’ will be a better fit than his" role on ABC’s "Monday Night Football."

Coincidentally, after E.D. was hired, Hill was also nominated as the station’s salesman of the year.
