Nothing too exciting, but KCBD-TV in Lubbock has the first on the record comments I’ve heard out of Mike Leach’s mouth since his firing.

Much like in his statement released to the public, Leach in the audio thanks fans while the interviewer, Pete Christy, Tweets today that, “Leach’s lawyer will file lawsuit soon and certainly that’s when both sides will start releasing all the ‘nuggets’ they have.”

More interesting is Texas Tech inside receivers coach Lincoln Riley is meeting with the media today. Riley sent an email to Texas Tech officials on behalf of Leach that threw Adam James under the bus.
