The TUCSON CITIZEN reports that police are looking for an Arizona fan who threw a water bottle at a USC player during Thursday night’s game.
With less than a minute to go in the Trojan’s win in Tucson, USC’s Davon Jefferson made an exclamation dunk, then pointed to the Arizona student section, a.k.a the Zona Zoo.
Well, one Zoomate took exception to the taunt, and tried to tag a Trojan with his liquid. (Video after the jump.)
BREITBART.TV lays up tape of the water toss:
About 49 seconds into the clip, the bottle hits USC’s Dwight Lewis in the foot. And at 1:47, a replay shows a fan just to the right of the backboard chucking the bottle.
Wildcats coach Kevin O’Neill quickly got on the house mic and asked fans & security to toss the tosser. (Unfortunately, you can’t hear much of Kevin’s speech, since ESPN analyst Jay Bilas wouldn’t shut up.) But we could make out O’Neill’s final words to USC coach Tim Floyd: “Tim, I apologize to your & your team.”
Word of advice to the water weasel: Just because you’re in a Zoo, it doesn’t mean you can act like a monkey throwing its feces.

Classy. College sports are turning into the backleagues with the fans ridiculous taunts, behavior, the players ignorance, and the overall ignorance of the administrators who dont control their fans

The Arizona coach was very classy in the way he handled it.
