YAHOO! SPORTS reports another Philadelphia Flyer has gotten in trouble with the NHL for too much rough stuff. During the preseason, Steve Downie was given an indefinite suspension for Flying into the Senators’ Dean McAmmond with both feet off the ground. (It was later reduced to 20 games.)
Now, forward Jesse Boulerice will have to sit for 25 games after checking the Canucks’ Ryan Kesler across the face with his stick. THE BIG LEAD slides over video of the dirty deed from Wednesday night:

What’s going on in Philly these days? Is it a revival of the gory glory days when Bobby Clarke, Bill Barber and Dave Schultz ran rampant throughout the Spectrum? Or is it something more sinister?

Turns out the Flyers’ practice facility is in the New Jersey suburb of Voorhees - which also happens to be the last name of Jason from those “Friday the 13th” slasher flicks.
So, that’s where the Flyers are getting their killer instinct. Sadly, the team doesn’t have any games scheduled on any actual Friday the 13ths, so any on-ice decapitations might have to wait ’til next season.
