SUPERSTORE CHAIN TARGET OF AGASSI’S AGGRAVATION: Andre Agassi is ticked at Target for selling sandals with his surname on the soles:

BLOOMBERG NEWS reports the 8-time Grand Slam champ is raging against the retailer for slapping his name on their shoes without his permission.
Agassi claims that even though he previously told the company to remove the Mossimo Agassi Sandals from their shelves, over 52,000 pairs have been sold at the store and on Amazon.com.
Agassi Enterprises, Inc. - Andre’s personal licenser - has contracts with such cobblers as Nike and adidas, but has no such agreement with Target.

The Minneapolis-based chain says they were just following their practice of using men’s monikers on their footwear - featuring such shoes as Anthony Leather Foot sandals, Xerxes Dress Oxfords and Crazyhorse Leather Flip-Flops.
Based on this shoe-labeling strategy, expect the store to be a Target for future lawsuits - from the descendants of a great Native American leader, and the folks running a San Francisco strip club.
