According to their web site, the Las Vegas Cobras semipro team provides players with “the ability to fine-tune their skills and/or get the needed game film for advancement to the next level.” This is probably not the film they had in mind for one of their linemen.
Looking at the roster on the team’s web site, that’s James Harris on the return, being tackled by his own teammate, Mauriece McIver, in a game against the Henderson Wolverines. Hey, it still counts as a tackle on the stat sheet.
Video following the jump.
Was this one of the deleted scenes from “The Blind Side”?
Worst part: When an opponent approaches the embarrassed McIver, points and openly mocks him. Poor guy.

All I can think of is that maybe this guy used to be on the punting team, and got recently switched to the receiving team. After the kickoff, the adrennalin is pumping, and all he can think about is what he’s trained to do up to now: tackle the guy with the ball.

Well, he is listed on the roster as a defensive tackle. Still … oh my.

All I can think is, how much money does this guy have riding on this game that he feels compelled to tackle his own player?
