This morning George Rush, Mike Jaccarino and Samuel Goldsmith of the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS added to the ever-growing list of alleged mistresses of Tiger Woods. This time we got a blonde “Manhattan clubgoer” named Cori Rist.
Rist and Woods allegedly met at the Manhattan club Butter last year and have been hooking up ever since.
Source: “One thing led to another, and pretty soon Tiger was flying her to hook up with him on tour. Tiger would typically get a large suite at a hotel. Someone would book Cori an adjacent room, so she wouldn’t be seen coming into his room.”
When contacted about the accusation, Rist said she had no comment “at this time.” (Could she be shopping her story to the highest bidder - including Woods?)
I know, this seems like it’s ridiculous now, and some people are probably thinking the media and sources are starting to take liberties with the facts.
I actually think that’s been going on since the beginning of this story. Embellishment and in some cases, outright lies. But Woods made things much worse when he confirmed his “transgressions” but failed to give any specifics whatsoever, opening the door to the subsequent, increased torrent of speculative reports.
For all we know, many of these reports are lies. If they are, Woods could put a stop to them if he’d just come out and tell us the truth about everything that happened.
So why won’t he?

With the possible exception of the voice message Tiger left, I’ve seen no real proof of all of these affairs.
These stories are either unconfirmed statements or second- or third-person accounts that’d be considered hearsay in court. I’m waiting for that witnesses to say ‘I saw Tiger and so-and-so going up the back stairway one evening. Or, a surveillance camera photo or something like that. Until then, I’m taking the other women’s stories with a grain of salt.

This is the problem and typically seems to be the issue I don’t understand about wealthy, famous, and high profile male celebrities like Tiger Woods. These men, when they marry, tend to marry beautiful women. I consider Tiger’s wife attractive and to be truthful she looks much younger than the women is alleged to have been intimate with. Studies have shown that looks aren’t as important as one might think when it comes to men who cheat (regardless of their station in life, i.e. career or salary) and there selection of intimate partner. But again, why do all of the alleged mistresses look old, tired, and worn out. Probably due to the lifestyle they lead. I would have expected Tiger to be more selective, if he was going to cheat, and not to have been naive or stupid enough to call his mistress or mistresses openly leaving voice mails that could be saved leaving himself open to blackmail, scandal, etc. I just don’t understand why he couldn’t go to Elin and explain that he had certain sexual needs that were not being fulfilled etc and then give her a choice before going out and potentially putting her life in danger by sleeping with women with whom he did not know there sexually history. This is sad, not just because Tiger has done it, but because men do it everyday and they don’t realize just how much a casual sex act with a stranger can hurt a family. What kind of example does this set for his son? He has many fans that follow him and it is deeply troubling that this trend will continue to send the message to young men that this behavior is not only the norm for men, but is actually excepted.

If you want to know that this wasn’t always the case, take a visit to Ellis Island and read about the immigrants who came to this country, desperate for a new and better life and how they clung to their wives and children and husbands for safety and love and the family unit was considered the one place of safety and protection against a harsh and cruel world. There is a saying: when people have it too good, they become more or less rotten. Our society has become rotten because it ‘has it too good.’ This is not going to last, given our inability to control our economics and the printing press philosophy which is making the dollar into monopoly money. When there is 30 percent unemployment for 10 plus years as there was during the Great Depression and people are hungry again, perhaps they won’t be thinking about all the men or women they can be unfaithful with. Perhaps they’ll grow up and do something positive for society instead. We live in a culture ruled by teenagerism…purely adolescent only it extends throughout life for most people and they feel so entitled and the divorce rate is 50 plus percent and on and on…..and fun is made of values and people who look down on this behavior. It’s not about Tiger -it’s about what he represents as our society at large. That’s the scary thing. I hope that women stop enabling this behavior and hold themselves with a bit more dignity. There will always be women who ’sell out’ to the ‘oldest profession in the world’ and the men who obviously think ill of themselves or wouldn’t need to go that route….but they should be a small minority, not the majority which has become the situation in our country today. America, you’re slipping and that’s going to be our decline and fall. We’re becoming another ‘Third world’ country with our values, economics and confused thinking. And on top of it, people are unhappy. Read the statistics. Whites had a name for Africans mixed with Native American blood (Native Americans would take in blacks escaping slavery), they had a name for Asian and African mixed (and history shows Asians did not except these children as Asian. They were out cast to the Asian race even in Asia just like children born to African women by White slave masters were considered part of the Black race by Whites and still held as Slaves) . African Americans are a mixed race people due mostly to the horrors of slavery.
Its not many African -American Blacks that can look at their family tree and only see African faces. Whites have felt free to label us what they want to for many years: Nig…r,Darky,Mullato,Octoroon,Quadroon,Negro,Colored etc..I could go on. Some African-American Blacks do have identity issues and some may want to go back to using other identity terms besides African American (Colored, Mullato, Negro etc), it just is what it is.

I am a recovering sex addict. I feel a tremendous amount of shame for what I put my wife through and the legacy I may have left my kids. As with most addictions, my issues began in childhood in my family of origin. I believe Tiger Woods is clearly a sex addict and he has family of origin issues too. I feel so sorry for his wife and kids, and yes I feel empathy for Tiger too. I know that I have been happier since hit rock bottom and got “sober” than any day that I acted out. Like alcohol or drug addiction, beating sex addiction will be a life long effort. It is perhaps more difficult to deal with because it is a natural need. In Tiger’s case, the future public scrutiny and the heightened attention of female sex addicts will make any attempted recovery difficult indeed.
