Ryan Abraham of the USC Rivals site USCFootball.com tells me today that in the aftermath of NCAA sanctions against the USC football program, all juniors and seniors on the team will be allowed to transfer immediately while maintaining their eligibility.
Of the 20 scholarships USC is reported to lose, Abraham said the losses will be spread out evenly over three seasons. In other words, USC will lose 6-7 scholarships per year.
The NCAA will hold a press conference at noon PT. Paul Dee, the chairman of the committee on infractions, will talk about the findings.
USC will respond about an hour later. I’m hearing that response will included a written statement and possibly pre-taped video.
