A good friend of mine used to work for “Make-a-Wish” in the LA area, and she said that, whenever a kid’s wish was to meet Shaq, he would not only spend the day with the kid, he would also find out what their #2 wish was (a trip or whatever) and he would pay for them to get that, as well. You don’t hear about it because he discourages publicity about all the stuff he does for kids. It doesn’t get much cooler than that. (By the way, the other celebrity who did the same thing was Will Smith.)

SHAQ is a cool dude.. Everyone in the NBA loves him. He does little things like that in every city we travel to. Im glad to have a mentor like him that can show me life on and off the court. I just sent big Brenden on his first “DATE” not too long ago

I hate Shaq, but he’s always doing cool stuff like this. Don’t know if he does it in every city he goes to, but he did Shaq A Claus for the inner city kids in MIami. For that I have to give him kudos.
