How Dare You Sir! It is inexcusable to put the words “Not Funny” and Ted Knight anywhere near each other. That fact that the picture is from Caddy Shack raises this to the level of WAR CRIME! You will be contacted by The Hauge. And yes, seems like the consensus is that the kid probably deserved a beating and the old guy went too far. I agree.

I’m confused…Do you all think mayor is some mystical title handed down from on high? Langhorne’s “mayor” usually defers to whomever is willing to run for a political office with nothing in it for them. He consults 4 police officers & sometimes performs weddings. Small small town. He’s retired. he’s retired, it’s really simple to understand. Using that to shade yr perpective is pointless. Just because the story sounds like it mighta happened in a movie doesn’t mean you should feel free to fill in the blanks with character stereotypes.

i know this story.

yes, the kids were pricks.

yes, they deserved to get their a**es kicked for being pricks.

yes, the old guy went to far, however,
when the kids act like pricks, they created an environment where things can get out of control.

calling the cops wont solve anything. calling the cops is nothing but a slap on the wrist. so the kids wont learn.

a good beating is necessary. not by the old guy, but by the fathers of the pricks. hey mayor, be a dad and work your son over so he will learn not to f*ck around with other people.

thats how you learn respect. when you FEEL the consequences.
