I almost cried while reading this article. The parents are cruel people. The poor guy looks like a nice kid. Rest in Peace.

Lawsuit time, the dad died two years ago and the article talks about the lack of healthcare the family could afford to examine for heart defects. Sure this kid could have used some better diet habits but we can’t expect people to learn from parents who don’t know better either.

The American People are eating themselves into graves. I bet the coaches get blamed for this one. Instead of the lowlife parents who have no sense of judgement or discipline.

Why did our Forefathers fight to create this nation if Americans are just going to kill themselves with corn syrup overload?

mom and dad, where are you? you let your son weigh almost 400 lbs. at the age of 13? yeah, that is a form of abuse.

when you weigh that much, the body naturally is going to start to give out. the heart has to work so hard, even at rest, to pump blood when a person weighs this much. then, under stress while playing football, you knew this was going to happen.

imagine how much he would have weighed if he lived to be 18-20.

sadly, in our society, the school/doctors may get sued for allowing him to play. even though the parents did something disgusting by feeding the kid so much.

It’s a damn shame. Lawsuits to follow no doubt but a nearly 400 pound 13 year old child? Finger pointing should only be done in front of a mirror - and only when the need to lash out becomes overwhelming. R.I.P. kid.
